Hello,
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist & WA State Approved Supervisor with a private practice in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
I received my Master of Arts in Existential-Phenomenological Psychology in 1993 from Seattle University, and my Doctor of Clinical Psychology in 2014 from Antioch University Seattle. I have been in private practice since 1999, and a faculty member at Seattle University since 2013.
I am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), including Division 24 (Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology), Division 35 (Psychology of Women), and Division 39 (Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychology). I also am a member of the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP). At Seattle University I teach in the undergraduate and graduate Psychology Programs as well as in the Honors College. I have researched, presented, and published on the experience of adult sibling bereavement; motherhood and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders; hermeneutics and psychological theory; and the philosophy of Emmanuel Levinas.
About My Practice
I have been in practice for over 20 years helping individuals and couples heal and create meaningful, satisfying lives. I draw on psychological theory, philosophy, feminist theory and maternal theory, and research-supported methods such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Lifespan Integration (LI) to help individuals, couples and families live meaningful and satisfying lives.
People and couples who seek out my services…
are often feeling depressed, anxious, loss, confused and/or meaningless. They report ongoing sleeplessness, disrupted relationships, confusing emotions and often frustration creating a satisfying life. After treatment, clients notice not only a reduction of symptoms, but also an increase in motivation, purpose, ease, connection, and joy. I work from a client-centered, relational perspective that allows me to tailor your therapy to your exact needs, situation, personality and disposition.
If you have questions or would like to talk about working together, I invite you to get in touch. I would be happy to talk with you.
